The power from the story leaped from the pages and came to life all around me. So when I heard there was going to be a movie the only thing I could think was "please let it be good! So her options were running low but what she wanted to do was what anyone could do. However, before she can move to New York and start her own "Happy Working Song" she'll need to prove to the editor of the company she wants to work for (and most importantly herself) that she is a serious writer. So she asks her friend's black maid Aibileen to help her with a book about what it is like to be a black maid in Mississippi. Soon after Aibileen joins, many other women come up and ask to help with the book. So now Skeeter, Abileen, and Aibileen's smart-mouthed best friend Minny work together to change the way things work in Mississippi.
Between the three leading actors: Viola Davis as Aibileen, Emma Stone as Skeeter, and Octavia Spencer as Minny; the power comes directly from all three of them. However Viola Davis had enough power to carry the movie on her own. Up to this point we've only seen her on the side-lines as a supporting actor or cameo. Now we get to see what she can do and she doesn't disappoint.
